Their credentials include being named "2010 Ensemble of the Year" at the Chicago Improv Festival, "Best Improv Troupe" by the Chicago Examiner, and winning the "Best Comedic Performance By a Group" at the 2008 New York Nightlife Awards.

According to their website, The Improvised Shakespeare specializes in "creat[ing] a fully improvised play in Elizabethan style. Each play is completely improvised, so each play is entirely new!"
